沖縄県の玉城デニー知事は２７日の定例会見で、自身の「ゼレンスキーです」との発言について、
ウクライナのコルスンスキー駐日大使が真意を確認する意向を示していることに「深く反省しつつ、
必要であれば丁寧な説明をしたい」と述べた。
知事は、大使の意向は報道で把握しているとした上で「どのような状況での発言だったのかをきちんと説明し、
軽率な発言であったことは重ねておわびしなければならない」と謝罪する考えを示した。
また、自身の発言は軽率とのそしりを免れないとし「多くの方に大変不快な思いをさせたことや、
ウクライナ大使館の不安を取り除くため、私からの行動も必要だろう」とも述べ、知事側から説明を
働きかける必要性にも言及した。
一方、自民党が党本部のウェブサイトなどで日米地位協定の改定に関し事実と異なる記述をしていることには、
直接的な評価を避け「改定は県が政府に求めていることで、多くの国民に理解を頂いていると思う。
全国の首長も重要な課題であるという認識を共有していると思う」と述べた。（政経部・大野亨恭）
