この事故が起きたのは、3月14日午後8時頃、場所はスペイン北西部、ガリシア州の町、La Corunaとされている。

この町にあるコインランドリーを利用していた男性が、まとめた洗濯物を手にし、ドアを開けて外へと出ていった。
