日南市沖で操業中、行方不明になっていた同市南郷町中村乙の漁師山下善士さん（７１）が２５日未明、無事自宅に戻った。
山下さんは１人乗り漁船「祥陽丸」（１・３トン）から転落したが、２時間ほど泳いで自力で岸にたどり着きタクシーで帰宅した。
船は自動操舵（そうだ）になっており、無人のまま母港の目井津港へ帰ってきたという。
