実はね、新聞10紙を読むの、止めたんですよ。「時間の使い方」を変えようと思って。
新聞を読み終わった時、あまりにも残るものが少ないと気づきましたね。
だったら、塩野七生さんの本を読んだ方が、時間の使い方としてよっぽど学びがある。

なんのために時間を使うべきか。使わないべきか。本当に考えている。なにをやるべきか。
なにをやらざるべきか。1時間があったら、何をできるんだろうといつも考えています。そうすると、自分の行動原理が変わります。

１時間があったら習近平とプーチンは何をやるんだろうな、アレクサンダーだったら１時間あったら何をやったんだろうか、ペリクレスだったら何を考えていたんだろうな……というふうに。
バカみたいでしょ、「何、言ってんだ。この人」と思うでしょ（笑）。でも、本当にそんなことを考えるんですよ。

今ここで脱皮する努力をしないと行き詰まるぞ、という思いがあるので、自分の身の処し方、時間の使い方を意識して変化をつけていく。
イチロー選手は毎年バッティングフォームを変えるんですよ。ヒットを200本も打っていたって、調子の良い時に変える。
それは、その時に変えないと、次の年は同じように200本が打てないから。
自分にとっては「今がその時だ！」と思っています。
