2023年2月6日から、引越し時の転入と転出手続きが簡単になる。マイナンバーカードとマイナポータルを通じて、「転出の届け出」と「転入先市区町村への転入手続き予約(来庁予約)」が、オンラインで同時に行なえる。

これまでの引越しでは、転出元の市区町村に来庁し、転出証明書を受け取った上で、転入届とともに提出する必要があった。こうした手間をオンライン申請により大幅に軽減可能になる。ただし、「転入」については、本人確認のために1回来庁する必要がある。
