国民民主党の玉木代表は２５日の記者会見で、生前に親交があったザ・ドリフターズのメンバー、仲本工事さ
んに国政選への出馬を打診していたことを明らかにした。

玉木氏は、仲本さんについて「経済や政治的な課題に非常に関心があった。『世直しが必要だ』と言っていた」
と語った。

仲本さんが断り、出馬は実現しなかったが、玉木氏を電話で励ますなどしていたという。玉木氏は「本当に心の
優しい方だった」と語り、不慮の死を悼んだ。
