中国との緊張が高まっている中、アメリカの議員団が台湾を電撃訪問し、15日午前から、蔡英文総統と会談を行っている。
14日夜、台湾を電撃訪問したアメリカの超党派議員団の5人は、午前11時から総統府で、蔡英文総統と会談している。
会談では、安全保障などについて意見を交わすものとみられている。
台湾をめぐっては、ペロシ下院議長の台湾訪問を機に、中国軍が台湾周辺で大規模な軍事演習を実施して
対抗するなど緊張が高まっていて、14日も、中国軍機11機が台湾海峡の中間線を越えて台湾側に進入している。
中国が反発することが予想され、緊張がさらに高まることが懸念されている。
