JR新潟駅の全線高架化が5日完了した。
地上ホームを廃止し、新たな1番線高架ホームの使用を開始。
これにより、全ての列車が高架ホームで発着するようになった。
新たな商業施設も開業し、同日は生まれ変わった新潟駅を見ようと多くの利用者が訪れた。

新潟は、一昔前は新幹線が、東北や北陸にある他の県に比べてアドバンテージだったけど、今はそんな事ないからな。新潟いくより、金沢や仙台行く人が増えただろうからね、駅キレイにした所でなー。地元民には喜ばれると思うけど。
