【独自】スポーツ賭博の解禁案、経産省が議論へ…八百長や依存症懸念で猛反発は必至
経済産業省が、スポーツの試合結果やプレー内容を賭けの対象とする「スポーツベッティング（賭け）」の解禁に向けて取りまとめた素案が判明した。スポーツ賭博を通じて放映権料や広告収入の拡大につなげ、スポーツ産業の活性化につなげる狙いがある。だが、八百長やギャンブル依存を招きかねないスポーツ賭博には反対論が強く、スポーツ界はじめ各界の猛反発は必至だ。
素案によると、様々なスポーツのデータを収集する業者がリーグやクラブから試合のデータや映像を購入し、賭けを運営する業者に提供してオッズ（賭けの倍率）を算出する。参加者は試合を見ながらスマートフォンなどで賭けを行う。対象として野球やサッカー、バスケットボールなどを想定している。
経産省はスポーツ庁とともに、７月にも有識者による「スポーツ未来開拓会議」を５年ぶりに再開し、スポーツ賭博の解禁に向けた議論を本格化させる。同会議は２０１６年に、日本のスポーツ市場の規模（１５年に５・５兆円）を２５年に１５兆円まで引き上げる目標を掲げており、スポーツ賭博の実現に向けた法的な課題などを整理する。
