だがその一方、ネットでは「皿を駐車場に並べる」という計測方法について、ネットでは「未使用でも皿を地面に置くって信じられない」「レシートで数わかるだろ」「わざわざ計測する意味は?」「お皿はテレ東が買い取ったのかな?」「外出てたお皿。洗ったとしても寿司は乗せたくない」「不衛生では?」といった声が相次いだ。
確かに、数に関してはわざわざ朝から夜まで一枚ずつ並べる必要はなく、また計測のために積み上げた未使用の皿1万枚以上を、撮影後に処分する事も考えにくい。
さらに、皿が汚れないための配慮として、計測エリアには紙が敷いてあったのだが、スタッフや芸人達は土足で紙の上に上がっており、確かに衛生的には疑問が残る方法となったようだ。
