先輩社員が新入社員に「腕時計は？」と聞いたところ、
「スマホがあるんで」と返された。
これを聞いた先輩社員は、
「クライアントの前でもスマホで確認するんか？」
と疑問を抱く。
時間確認のために客先で携帯やスマホをいじるのは、
失礼に当たるので腕時計は必須ということらしい。
必要派からは、
「社外の人に会う仕事なら腕時計しといた方が無難」
とする意見が多い。
20代半ばだという男性からも
「スマホで時間確認は正直あり得ないと思う」
という声が出る。
腕時計なら何でもいいというわけではない。
「G-SHOCKが許されるのは学生まで」
「一流企業なら高価な腕時計は必要」
という注文も出ている。
また、スーツを着ているのだから腕時計は外せない、
という考え方もある。
