現在、ネット上で「BTS神社」なるものが話題になっている。これは韓国ではなく、日本でのことだ。

当該神社のホームページには「バイザシー敷地内の洞窟にあるBTS神社」と書かれており、「バイザシー（By the sea＝海辺、海岸などの意）」を略して「BTS」としているようだが、
BTS（防弾少年団）メンバーの写真も飾られており、本来赤色の鳥居もBTSを象徴する紫色に塗られている。

また、拝観料はお守り付きで1人2000円、宮司による特別祈祷は5000円（要予約）とのこと。SNSなどの投稿によると、2021年には運営されていたようだ。

この神社がネット上で話題になるや、「日本で実際に運営されている“BTS神社”…今みんなが驚愕中だ」

そして韓国のネットユーザーは不快感をあらわにし、「何故このようなものが日本に存在するのか…」「許可取ったのか？」「何故彼らがBTSで金儲けをするのか」「日本の神社は神を祀る場所なのに、観音像の横にBTSメンバーのブロマイドが置かれている。狂っている」といった反応を見せている。

なお、この神社がBTS所属のHYBEと正式な肖像権契約を結んだかは定かではない
