三菱自動車は国内向けの乗用車で、基幹部品である車台の開発をやめる。
提携する日産自動車からの供給に5年後をめどに切り替える。
独自の開発投資は巨額の資金が必要な電気自動車（EV）など電動車に振り向ける。
