ファストマーケティングは4月12日、「YouTuberに関する実態調査」の結果を発表した。調査は2月7日～14日、
事前の調査で「YouTubeパートナー認定プログラム」の認定を受けていると回答した男女288名を対象にインターネットで行われた。
調査によると、個人用のYouTubeアカウントを「所有している」人は47.7%。そのうち、本業・副業問わず、
YouTubeへの動画投稿を収入源のひとつにしている人という人は、10.1%。アカウント所有者の10人に1人がなんらかの収入を得ていることが明らかに。
YouTuberとしての月収を聞くと、「5,000円～1万円未満」が28.7%と最も多く、次いで「1万円～5万円未満」が25.6%、
「5,000円未満」が20.7%で続き、「30万円以上」と高額の収入を得ている人は5.2%にとどまった。
