大山ダムに「進撃の巨人」 諫山さん、エレンら3人の銅像除幕
大分県日田市出身の漫画家諫山創さんの人気作「進撃の巨人」の主人公らの銅像が
同市大山町の大山ダムそばの広場に完成し、8日、諫山さんも参加して除幕式があった。
銅像は主人公のエレンと、幼なじみのミカサ、アルミンの3人の少年期で等身大。
高さ94メートルのダムを作中に登場する壁に見立て、3人が見上げる姿になっている。
市民有志による「進撃の日田まちおこし会議」がクラウドファンディング（CF）で資金を集め建立した。
除幕式には、CFに応じた支援者など約200人が全国各地から招待された。
諫山さんは「この日を迎えられ感無量です。進撃の巨人が古里に役立つのであれば、
今後もお手伝いしたい」と笑顔で話した。
